Jessica Sacher

Jessica Sacher is co-founder of Phage Directory and has a Ph.D in Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Alberta, where she studied Campylobacter phage biology. She has co-led Phage Directory since 2017, where she has cultivated a network of 1,200 phage professionals from over 80 countries which share phages in response to phage therapy cases. As of Feb 2022, she joined the Iredell group in Sydney to work on the Phage Australia project, where she is working to streamline workflows for phage sourcing, biobanking and collection of phage/bacteria/patient matching and monitoring data, and helping integrate it with Phage Directory's phage exchange, phage alerts and phage passport systems.
