Jan Zheng

Jan Zheng holds a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology from University of Maryland Baltimore County, and holds a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University (2010). He co-founded Phage Directory in 2017, and is responsible for product design, software, and business development. He has a decade of experience in user experience design, information architecture, and full-stack web development, and has worked on websites and data-heavy applications for companies including Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, L'Oreal, and Ubiquiti Networks. He specializes in using User-Centered Design methodologies, which are based on conducting research and understanding core user needs and behaviours, to design and build software. For the Phage Australia project, Jan designs and implements data/informatics products that support phage exchange, phage passport and clinical data collection.
